About Sheila Hodge Designs
As a child I was happiest with my colouring books, notepads, collection of felt tipped pens and a host of craft projects on the go, from card making to dress making and everything in between. My beloved grandparents were the recipients of most of those early creations and always encouraged me to explore my creative side.
Eventually, I 'put away childish things' and ventured into the grown-up and positively unimaginative world of administration. Although my notepad and pens were never far from my side and the documents I produced were always with an eye towards the aesthetic, it wasn't until I became engaged to be married that my creativity was thoroughly re-ignited.
Sheila Hodge Designs has evolved from the meticulous preparations for my own wedding in April 2008. I had a very definite idea for the design and colours of the stationery, accessories and all those little personal touches I wanted to include, that I instinctively knew wouldn't be found on the High Street, and so set about realising my vision by creating it myself.
The positive feedback I received as a result was more than I could have imagined and inspired me to create a portfolio of wedding, event, baby and social stationery for other discerning people looking for something distinctively different and as far removed from 'stick on bits' or 'in your face bling' as you will get.
